About Kumar Ramachandran

Kumar Ramachandran is the brainchild behind Metcast. He is a Mechanical Engineer with vast experience in the foundry industry and works as the local contact for potential buyers. He owned a Foundry in India, which was shipping parts to a reputed OEM in Germany. After his immigration to the U.S, Kumar Ramachandran began his role as a Supply Chain Manager for a reputed Wind turbine manufacturer. He later took up the role of a sourcing manager for an American company importing parts from Asia.

Kumar’s experience has taken him to parts of India and work with diverse supplier teams. His in-depth knowledge in castings and over 10 years of sourcing experience is just the kind of asset that would help customers looking to find suppliers in India. Kumar has successfully tackled challenges such as negotiations and delivery problems. He is constantly finding ways to bring Eastern and Western business cultures together for mutually beneficial, long-term relationships.

Kumar Ramachandran believes that integrity is the foundation of his business and this thinking is visible throughout the business process with Metcast. Kumar has taken many cast products from prototype to production, over the years and he enjoys helping his customers successfully bring new products to market. Kumar has been married since 2001, and has a son who is 10 years old
